ABOUT CROSSFIT KIDS

CrossFit Kids is a programme that is specifically designed for children aged 7-12 years old.  It helps them engage and develop a lifelong love of being physically active.

It is designed for kids and their specific developmental needs (neurological, cognitive, motor). We conduct the sessions in small,  age appropriate groups, which are geared towards fun learning and engaging workouts.

WHAT EXACTLY IS CROSSFIT KIDS?

CrossFit is a functional way of training. This means it takes the movements the body needs in everyday life and strengthens them. Functional movements are movements such as pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump. All of the movements are taught safely and effectively under the close supervision of a trained Coach.

Our workouts will increase physical competence in the following fitness areas:

  • Coordination
  • Flexibility
  • Strength
  • Power
  • Speed
  • Agility
  • Balance
  • Cardiovascular Fitness

IS CROSSFIT FOR EVERY KID?

Yes. CrossFit Kids can equally benefit any child. From a child who is less active to a physically confident one. This is done by tailoring each workout so that each participant is challenged just enough to learn and progress in a fun environment.

It is important for kids to learn how their individual body moves, we do this in a fun environment which see kids grow in confidence and explore their own physical abilities.
